Top 10 Corporate media giants

Media belongs to the people and it should stay that way.

Giant media corporations own and control a lot of the media. There are many smaller media companies that are subcontractors, but it’s still controled and influenced by giant media corporations. Independent media companies don’t stand a chance against these giants.

The number one goal for giant media is to grow big and eleminate competition. By becoming so big they do not have to compete with others.  This affects our society. When many small individuals own bits and piece of media, it’s good for promoting diversity and equality. Also, if some companies fail, a few are affected. However, when giant media corporations own all the media, it’s bad. If one giant media corporation fails, it will hurt  and affect many.

Out of the 40 Media Companies, there are at least 6 giant media corporations to watch out for General Electric, Walt Disney, News Corp., Time Warner, Viacom, CBS Corporation.
